In our hands-on, place-based science course, students learn about marine and terrestrial ecology.

Our campus is a perfect outdoor learning laboratory, a salt-water peninsula nestled between two rivers reaching down into Hockomock Bay, with proximity to rocky coasts, sandy beaches, freshwater streams, bogs, and forests.

During the semester, students hone their powers of observation and description and develop an in-depth understanding of the natural history of the Maine coast.
